Listen to our stories
Given the chance, almost everyone in my family has an opinion, a point of view, or a detail to add to just about any story. But family stories can tilt with time, throwing accuracy into question. To that end, I’ve interviewed some of my family members so they can tell in their own words what it was like to be part of our family and to share some of their memories of being in our home. As you listen to their Tanner Manor stories, I hope my stories will take on more color and credibility.
Unfortunately, my Dad passed away in 2001, long before I started this project, so he is not included in the podcasts. Fortunately, however, as we said when we honored him at our 2012 Tanner Family Reunion, "He lives in you!" Indeed, many of his ideas, mannerisms, and axioms live on in us, his posterity. I miss Dad.
In addition to my family, countless others visited and even lived with us in Tanner Manor. I hope, in time, they will also come forward and share their Tanner Manor stories.
